Bungan Beach Clifftop Transformation – Forever Home
On Sydney’s Northern Beaches, this once boxy 1970s double brick home has been completely reimagined into a light-filled, contemporary coastal residence. Designed with Mediterranean influences and built by our trusted team of engineers, designers, trades and suppliers, this clifftop property is now a true forever home for a long-standing client.

Having worked with this family on several previous projects, we were engaged to take their vision to the next level — creating space for a growing family, ageing parents, and the flexibility of multi-level living. The size and complexity of the renovation required the family to move out, with weekly site meetings ensuring every design decision was made collaboratively and with confidence.

We reconfigured every level of the home, relocating the main living areas to the top floor to capture sweeping ocean views. The compartmentalised layout of the 1970s design gave way to a large open-plan flow, connecting indoor and outdoor living seamlessly. Externally, the heavy face brick was replaced with a clean timber cladding for a contemporary coastal aesthetic.

Highlights of this build include a renovated pool with an outdoor bar and sauna, new rooflines, re-engineered staircases, and the careful layering of light timber floors across multiple concrete levels to improve circulation and maximise natural light. The result is a refined, eclectic home that celebrates the family’s travels, embraces its clifftop site, and delivers on the promise of a Northern Beaches forever home.
